i took this video on my phone and was holding it backwards (and sideways) by accident, sooo unfortunately instead of seeing rowan giggle, you have to look at our exploding laundry pile! it’s on my to-do list, but clearly i have more important things to do with my time! i.e. kissing rowan. priorities!!
half vertical.

just a week after his half bday, rowan learned to become half vertical! sitting up all by himself. and giggling at/talking to the tv.
somebody is ready for his nap.

you have to wait a whole 5mins for it, but he eventually does roll over. luckily he’s being pretty cute for the other 4mins 50secs haha. he can roll from his back to his front, too, so the next mobility milestone is crawling!!! dear god.
vday kisses!

i’m not exactly sure what i’m going to do when he can squirm/crawl/walk/RUN away from these kisses! so i’m getting my fill for now. he doesn’t seem to mind too much :)
the powers that be don’t want me to write!

after many technical difficulties tonite, i have been defeated! all i wanted to do tonite was write a little blurb (on being eco-friendly and children’s books, just to remind myself) on my blog, but nothing seemed to be working right! websites down, computers dying, unable to find the powercord in the whole house, forgotten passwords, expired accounts, phonecalls to misplaced cellphones, dogs barking…when i sat down to write it was nearly an hour ago and now i’ve completely lost the desire! and so since kyle’s gone to hockey anyway, i’m just going to bed at 8:15pm! but just so that this post wasn’t a total waste, i’ll leave you with this: the beautiful flowers kyle’s friend brought us for having a baby. and so i managed to end this frazzled, frustrated message and evening on a lovely, simple, positive note: sleep is amazing and flowers are beautiful. there. better for my health.
ps – i just noticed two other excellent things about this picture – the dark chocolate bar and the picture of rowan on the table. life is good!
